During the first semester, we mostly did descriptor pieces utilizing one specific sense, and through all of it, i think i did decently well at it, but this piece specificly is my favorite of all my works from that time. why? because smell is a sense i use no matter what. growing up in a household that was super into cooking, aromatics was also a big deal, specificly lavender. the thing your about to read is actually based off real events that happened to me and writing it brought me back to a simpler time of sorts. idk exactly how to phrase this without sounding like a nerd, so im not gonna phrase it. instead, just enjoy the piece :)
